Tomi Paijo: Echoes of the Currents

Artwork evoking whispers, memories, and the fluidity of time's current.

Echoes of the Currents is an evocative installation of three figures, conceived to harmonize with expansive outdoor landscapes, ideally by the water. They become anchors to a soundscape composed of gentle whispers, heightening the spatial dimension of the artwork. These whispers echo the myriad moments of history and the ever-moving nature of time, symbolized by the surrounding waters.

Heraclitus once mused, "We both step and do not step in the same rivers. We are and are not." His reflection resonates deeply with the piece. Water's eternal cycle ties us to bygone eras, and in its flow, we hear the tales of generations past. The figures, juxtaposed with the auditory element, call upon the viewer to pause, listen, and connect with the timeless currents of existence.
