The composition explores the idea of seeing sounds and hearing images by giving each sound a visual response. Fluctuations in the dynamics, colour and duration of sounds talk interact with the movement, shapes and colours of the image.
“In this installation, interactive instruments are controlled by hand and finger movements to create aural, musical and visual events. The installation serves as an interactive improvisation environment in which anyone can produce musical and visual material without any previous playing experience,” says Teemu Määttänen.
