Mauri Kosonen: Big Blue

A public artwork in Kaarina combining environmental, architectural, glass, and light art.

Big Blue is an environmental, architectural, glass, and light art combing public artwork with a life-size blue whale on a glass facade illuminated with underwater moving lights. The lights resemble the movement of sun rays seen from underwater.

Big Blue glass facade artwork was chosen the Glass Structure of the Year 2022 in Finland. The interior and exterior architecture, visual design, and lighting design follow the underwater Big Blue theme.
