Direct perception of a black hole is difficult. It can only be identified by the impact it has on its environment. Near Zero plays with the physically perceptible. According to Gestalt psychology human recognize elements and objects that are already familiar from the outline.
The work is constructed of a piping system and painted with all-light-absorbing Black 3.0 and it seems to penetrate into the structures. Near Zero includes a soundscape that affirm spatial experiment.
