Ainu Palmu: Hope

Hope is a flutter in a wing beat. Do you know which are you, a dove or a pidgeon? Hope carries the emergency of decission; must act now!

I am a dove.
I am noble, I feel love.
I bring a message of peace.
I’m calm, chic even.
On special days, I and my fellow doves burst into the sky like a bright cloud.

Or am I a pigeon?
I’m grey and a bit daft, I coo.
I’m an urban hawk’s dinner, all that’s left is a pile of feathers on a rock.
But I don’t mind the thread that’s tightly wound around my foot, I just limp on.
I know not to fly into windows, they’re just reflections of the sky.
I build my nest on an illuminated shop sign, tucked inside the letter A.
When a dog approaches, we take to the skies, sharp and fast, together. We’re less worried about the kids.

Hope is a projection work. It changes in time and that is an important story-telling feature. Duration is 3min. It is scalable.
